Finals spots decided in Coast rugby

Sunshine Coast rugby’s regular season has concluded with the remaining spots in the finals being decided.

Maleny kept their reserve grade premiership defense alive with a 29 to 19 bonus point win over Nambour.

With University losing to Noosa by 38 points, the Bushrangers will be the designated home team come Sunday.

Caloundra finished fifth and missed the finals on for and against – 89 points on for and against behind University.

Hosting rights for the minor semis was also decided up at Noosa.

A big first half gave the home side a base from which they weren’t getting over run.

The Dolphins lead 25 points to 5 at the break.

A half time spray spured on the Wynnum side but they were unable to go on with the job.
