The road to the semis is almost over, so who’s hosting

With one round to go before the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union finals begin, there is still the question of who hosts which final.

Noosa will host the Grand Final as they have won the Club Championship.

Who will be hosting the other finals will be determined by this weekends results.

University are in prime position to host the major semi final.

For them to lose hosting rights, Caloundra need to defeat Caboolture, have University lose by more than 7 points and not score four tries, and have the change in net for and against is at least 26 in Caloundra’s favour.

A grade ladder
 University 12-0-2 +293 56
 Caloundra 10-0-4 +243 51
 Wynnum 8-0-6 +53 43
 Noosa 8-0-6 +142 42
 ————————————————
 Maroochydore 3-1-10 -295 18
 Caboolture 0-1-13 -435 4

The equation for the minor semi is a bit simpler to explain.

For Noosa to host that game they need to defeat Wynnum, or be only team to get a bonus point in a drawn game.

Wynnum host the minor semi with any other result
