No trains home to the Coast after Reds Chiefs game Saturday night

Sunshine Coast rugby fans wanting to go to the Super Rugby match between the Queensland Reds and the Chiefs will have to drive down and back due to no train services leaving Roma Street after 8:30pm.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:45pm. Given that the time taken to go between Suncorp Stadium and Roma Street Station, those who would otherwise go will need to stay in Brisbane over night.

This lack of train services may be a hang over from the Commonwealth Games but it should be noted that Friday night services leave Roma Street at 11:33 at the latest on Friday.

Our travelling to cover Sunshine Coast rugby sides playing in Brisbane suffers from the same in convenience.

Bother Queensland Rail and Translink have been contacted for comment.
