Caboolture have gone into the Easter long weekend with their first decent hit up of the year.
The Snakes hosted Helensvale at the Petersons Road ground.
Snakes co-coach Wilson Enoka said: “It was really good. This was our first decent hit up as a team as coming together. Just part of the boys coming together. Some of us had to back up from second grade in the first grade. [We had] no major injuries which is a good thing.”
They will host Sunshine Coast Rugby Union heavyweights Caloundra in their last trial game on April 6.
Enoka said: “It is a good hit up going up against Caloundra where we know they’re one of the top sides in the competition. They’re going to a much structured and physical side to face. So it’s a good hit up especially going into the first [round of the] season.”
Round 1 of the SCRU will see them play Wynnum on April 20.
