Bribie maintain unbeaten run with win over Coolum

Bribie Island have continued their spot on top of the Rugby League Sunshine Coast reserve grade ladder with a 38 points to 28 win over Coolum.

“[The game was] A little bit sloppy,” Bribie coach Kirk Crouch said. “First half was really bad. Second half started a little bit slow but then they got in their groove a bit then scored the points we needed to score to win the game.”

Bribie face Beerwah next week. They’ll focus on getting their first half together.

“A bit of discipline as well, Crouch said. “We got a boy sent to the bin for a lifting tackle. So working on a few little things like that. We’ve got Beerwah at home next week. So they’ll be hard.”

Crouch continued, “They’re a good team. The boys feel that they’re the strongest side we’ve played all year. It’ll probably be surprising if it’s not one of them – Beerwah or Woodford [Stanley Rivers] – in the Grand Final I’d reckon, with us hopefully.”
