Caloundra have beaten Noosa 17–12 to go ten points clear of the Dolphins on top of the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union A grade ladder.
This gives them a direct spot in the Grand Final.
“It’s great for the club,” says A grade captain Mitch Platt.
“It’s been a massive club effort to get to this point.
“But it doesn’t count for much.
“We’ve got [the minor premiership] in the past and we still don’t have a premiership.”
There are two rounds to go before the semi final weekend.
Noosa will host University next week in a dress rehearsal of the A grade semi, while Maroochydore host Caloundra.
