Hi all

Anyone following the Sunshine Coast Rugby Union’s SGQ Cup closely may have spotted that the double chance in the finals has not been mathematically secured. That being said, the same was true about top spot last week.

Maroochydore currently sit third on the ladder with 34 points and a score difference of -12. Their opponent this week, University, is in second with 44 points and a score difference of +52.

For Maroochydore to get into second and get the double chance they will need to defeat University this week and top placed Noosa next week. They would also need a bonus points in both games – denying University a bonus point – and University to lose to Caloundra without a bonus point.

University needed a bonus point in their win against Noosa last week to have any chance to get top spot and a home semi final.
