Back up day in use for Women’s GF

A back up day will be in use when Caloundra host Cooroy Eumundi in the grand final of Sunshine Coast Cricket’s women’s Tier 1 competition.

Originally scheduled for Sunday March 9, Tropical Cyclone Alfred has caused the game to be now scheduled for March 15.

The final day of the men’s competition was also called off because of the cyclone.

As a result Maroochydore will finish on top of the Division 1 ladder. They are followed by Tewantin Noosa, Caboolture, and Nambour in the top four.

Glasshouse will finish fifth having needed an outright win to have a chance to make finals.

Nambour’s spot in the finals will be the club]s first in about 20 years.

In Division 2 USC finished on top followed by Glasshouse, Caboolture, and Tewantin Noosa.

Coooroy Eumundi may have done enough in division 4 to make finals. They’ll join Maroochydore, Landsborough, and Caloundra.
