Maroochydore did everything they could to claim a spot in Sunshine Coast Cricket’s Division 1 One Day semi finals defeating Glasshouse by three wickets.
The Swans won the toss and sent Glasshouse in to bat. Glasshouse would score 143 for the loss of 9 wickets off their 50 overs. Their top scorers were Stephen Forster, who scored 35 before being run out by Luke McInnes and wicket keeper Matthew Watson, and Rickey Sawyer, who scored 40 before being caught by Swans captain Blain Schloss off the bowling of Mitch Armstrong.
Maroochydore would build their innings around Tom Olsen (25, caught by Bailey Jackson off the bowling of Will Collins), Matthew Watson (35, retired hurt) and Luke McInnes (36, bowled by Jackson). They finished on 145 for the loss of 7 wickets off 39 overs.
Coolum appear to have denied Maroochydore a spot in the One Day semi finals defeating Tewantin Noosa by 5 wickets.
The Sharks dismissed the Thunder for 66 off 21.4 overs before getting the require 67 for the loss of 5 wickets off 19.2 overs. As a result they picked up the double bonus point.
