Nambour have defeated University in round eight of Sunshine Coast rugby’s reserve grade.
The Toads scored the games only try after 11 minutes to go up 7 nil.
“After that was a hard slog,” Nambour player Nick Collingwood.
“Against the wind for the first bit.
“Then even with the wind didn’t help at all.
“It was pretty tough.”
With Gympie going down 29–17 to Caloundra, the Toads move into fourth on the ladder.
In other reserve grade games this weekend;
- Maleny defeated Caboolture Black 22–7,
- Noosa defeated Wynnum 19 – 12 at Maroochydore,
- Maroochydore defeated Caboolture Gold 49–7.
A grade, Colts under 19s, and Women’s 12s all have a general bye.
