Caboolture will start their first season back in Sunshine Coast rugby’s A grade competition against Newcomers Wynnum at home.
The Snakes last played in that comp in 2013.
“I think we’re shaping up pretty well,” Caboolture coach Tony Walls said.
“We’ve still got a lot of work to do but we’ll be working on that over the next three or four weeks and will improve as we go along.”
“I’m quietly confident and think we’ll be pretty competitive.
Both Caboolture and Wynnum join the competition after leaving the Brisbane suburban association last year.
“I think we’ll go pretty well,” Wynnum coach Matt Myers said.
“We’ve got a strong squad with a bit more depth than what we’ve had previously.
“We’re well prepared, we’re fit and motivated to back up our [Barbar Cup] premiership from last year, and we’re really keen to test ourselves in a stronger competition.”
