Rain cancels weekend cricket

Round one of the 2018/19 Sunshine Coast cricket season has been completely abandoned the day before it was scheduled to be completed.

A week of near constant rain resulted in grounds from Gympie down to Burpengary and everywhere in between closed.

The Premier Grade game at Kerry Emery Oval was also called off.
