Sunshine Coast Grammar have taken out the 2018 Garth Hunt Shield as the premier First XV side on the Coast.
“We got a bit unfortunate last year getting knocked out in the semi, so to get back here and get the job here, I’ve got no words to describe it,” said Grammar captain Mack Naylor.
“The atmosphere of it, running out through that tunnel, it’s something you can’t describe and something you don’t get many opportunities to do so to be able to do it is absolutely amazing.”
With about half Grammar players graduating this year the depths of the schools program will be tested next year.
Earlier in the night Grammar’s Second XV lost to Sienna in a close encounter.
